Roof and Fabric Repairs, Care Home, Bridge of Weir

Client – The Grand Lodge of Scotland – Marcus Humphrey House, Bridge of Weir.

Project Sector – Private Sector

Project Description – Slate roof and stone repairs.

Role – We were appointed Principal Contractor after a traditional tendering exercise.

The works involved scaffolding, slating and stone work to chimneys which were all carried out by specialist sub-contractors from our approved sub-contractor list. Joinerwork and decoration to eaves timbers and gutters, and all other works were carried out by our own directly employed tradesmen.

The residents of the care home were still in occupation during the construction process and therefore great care had to be taken not to disrupt them. Maintaining water tightness of the building and minimising noise, dust and being generally considerate during the works was of high importance. Due to careful management and close communication and co-ordination throughout the team, the works were completed without incident.

This project was handed over on schedule with zero defects.
