Client St. Mary’s R.C. Church - Lanark

Project Sector Church

Project Description Major internal and external refurbishment and alterations to these grade A listed buildings. Main Church, Presbytery and Community Club Room Annexe.

Role
After the unfortunate demise of Hunter & Clark who had just started the project we were asked by the client and design team to take over this project. It is understood that we were selected for our reputation, experience and financial stability.

As Main Contractor we successfully managed the project including stonework repairs, roofing repairs, new and refurbished windows, forming new accommodation areas, internal refurbishment of the main church buildings, remodelling the Club Room Annexe, new heating and electrics throughout, new roadways, paths & landscaping.

It was a challenge picking up a project started by others but this was a challenge that was met. The congregation have now been left with a building refurbished with a high standard of craftsmanship that will serve them well for the future.

Completion Date July 2011

Contract Value £2.5M
